Thai Massage for Soft Tissue / Sports Massage Therapists (Level 1)

Thai massage is one of the oldest traditions of “hands-on” therapies. Learning to incorporate these techniques into your current treatments can be of great benefit to both client and therapist.

Designed with the Soft Tissue / Sports Therapist in mind, this two-day course will teach you a more dynamic approach to treatment. Introducing movement for the client and an energising way of working for the therapist. Throughout the course we will consider how these techniques could be beneficial to those clients suffering with pain / injury

Course content will include:

  • Introduction Thai Massage
  • How to apply Thai Massage Techniques throughout the body
  • Practical demonstrations of Thai Massage Techniques
  • Plenty of hands-on practise of techniques
  • Effectively using your body as a therapist
  • Incorporating techniques into your current treatment
  • Relationship between Thai Massage and techniques such as Muscle Energy Techniques
  • Using clinical reasoning in the application of Thai Massage Techniques when working with pain and injury
  • Case Studies
  • Attendees of the course will have the opportunity to complete a case study to use these skills in a “real life” clinic setting. These will be reviewed in an online session aimed at allowing discussion of practical applications of Thai Massage and consolidating the course learning.
