I was MTS15 so 2015/16. I wasn’t quite sure if I was making the right decision at the time to sign up and pay for a 13-month course. I was already a sports massage therapist of over 20 years but focused 12 years on lecturing of sport, fitness and exercise and even taught sports massage at a college. I researched the latest, highest qualifications in the field and boy was I glad I signed up. I have to say it was one of the most memorable years of my life.
I wanted to kickstart my career again in this field but even though I had some experience I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect with many doubts: was I good enough? was I able? would others there be more qualified?
My first impressions, within 10 mins of entering the building, was nothing to what I expected. All my nerves disappeared and turned to excitement and sheer determination. I met an Italian woman Anna Maria. She ticked my boxes being Passionate, Plays rugby and a true Powerhouse of knowledge and enthusiasm.
From the word go the support was apparent, friendships in our brilliant group were formed, laughter was a deadly ingredient as we often got distracted, we even had the pleasure of being involved in her special year of marriage.
The level of learning, materials and practical involvement was second to none. All the seasons were well balanced with theory and practical and no question was unanswered. I’m thrilled and proud to be associated with The ST School, 5 years on and running a successful practice in Cornwall.

Anna-Maria is an incredibly knowledgeable tutor and her passion for the industry is completely evident in the way she delivers each session. She seamlessly includes critical thinking and challenges her students to do the same and this element becomes more of a focus as the course develops.
The ST School is forward thinking in its approach to evidence-based practice with a client-centred approach and I continue to benefit from the latest learning by attending CPD events. I found the CPD format very easy to follow and was very impressed by how interactive it was. The content was thorough, yet simple to understand. I found this style to be less intimidating as a newly qualified STT which allowed me to get involved in the polls and questions. I found the 3 tutors presenting to have the perfect mix of personalities, knowledge and delivery.
