With a career spanning 26 years, Imi Testa’s approach to hands on client care has evolved to seamlessly blend psychologically informed touch with mindful movement-based practices. Her journey began with Holistic Massage, where she developed the core values of person-centered, holistic care — a philosophy still at the essence of her clinical and teaching approaches. Over the subsequent 2 decades, Imi has enriched her practice by learning a broad spectrum of modalities and philosophies, some of which are still truly shaping her practice and teaching:

Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy Level 5 (Upgrade Route)

Despite being already highly trained and with expertise on her own, Imi decided to study with us and upgrade her qualification to our Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy Level 5 through the upgrade route, which brought her a modern and more evidence based approach to clinical reasoning and helped her to put together some of her previous knowledge in a format meaningful to clinical practice…

and… once we met her we could not let her so she is now a tutor and integral part of content creation for our courses.

Imi’s relentless pursuit of knowledge is all about doing better for her clients. But she is as much client centred as she is student centred, she has this marvellous ability to translate the wealth of  her knowledge and make it immediately relatable to the student. If we have something which needs to be delivered and the students look perplexed we always turn to Imi and say;

“Can you explain it for me?”

Practical demonstration and delivery are Imi’s strength in teaching, watching her grace and elegance during delivery constantly reminds me of her brilliance.
