Gary Benson has been representing Soft Tissue Therapists and Sport Therapists for 18 years, in varied roles at the GCMT (General Council for Massage Therapists) 2007-2009 the SRTC (Sports and Remedial Therapies Council) 2009-2010 As a Profession Specific Board Advisor to the CNHC (Complementary Natura Healthcare Council 2010-2013) and as an advisor to other membership bodies until 2013. He founded the Sports Therapy Association to raise the standard of membership support and representation in early 2014, Incorporating as a not-for-profit Association in February 2015. As an educator working in roles in Higher Education, Further Education and the Private sector has experience in qualification design, delivery and assessment protocols.
